We here at Exclaim! know it can be difficult planning for the Labour Day Weekend. But you don't have to work hard to find something fun to do — just check out this week's edition of Can't Miss Concerts from August 29 - September 4 below and make the most of your extended holiday by seeing some of the week's best shows.

By Divine Right

Canadian indie-pop veterans By Divine Right broke their four-year silence back in June with the psychedelic-leaning Organized Accidents. Now, the outfit are showing off all their hard work by taking the album on a mini-jaunt of Eastern Canada with three dates in Ontario and Quebec. Don't forget to arrive early to catch fellow Torontonians Magneta Lane, who are opening for the band in support of their recently released EP, Witchrock.

8/29 Ottawa, ON - Pressed
8/30 Montreal, QC - Il Motore
8/31 Kingston, ON - The Mansion

Deerhunter

Atlanta, GA five-piece Deerhunter continue their global domination in support of their sixth studio-album, Monomania, which received an Exclaim! Mark of Excellence back in May for its "simple pop songs and anarchic noise." Find out what all the hype is about by witnessing the avant-garde garage rockers perform live at the final two Canadian West Coast dates on their current tour.

8/30 Vancouver, BC - Rickshaw Theatre
8/31 Victoria, BC - Sugar Nightclub

Depeche Mode

Synth-pop pioneers Depeche Mode have been going strong for over three decades thanks to constant reinvention and stadium-supporting anthems. But even if you weren't a fan of this year's blues-inspired Delta Machine LP, catch the arena-ready rockers play the hits alongside UK art-pop songstress Bat for Lashes during a pair of dates at the Molson Amphitheatre and Bell Centre.

9/3 Montreal, QC - Bell Centre

Passion Pit

Festival-friendly dream-pop outfit Passion Pit head out west for a few slots in support of 2012's silky-smooth Gossamer. Michael Angelakos and his crew don't make it out to the Prairies very often, so check out the electronic singer-songwriter and co. while you still can.

9/1 Calgary, AB - X-Fest
9/3 Saskatoon, SK - The Odeon
9/4 Winnipeg, MB - Garrick Centre

Sonic Boom 2013

Much like a certain Street Fighter II character's go-to special move, two-day Edmonton music festival Sonic Boom plans to knock over its competitors thanks to an angst-heavy lineup featuring Blink-182, City and Colour, Weezer, and many more. Just don't forget to arrive early to catch Canadian acts like Imaginary Cities, Yukon Blonde and Death from Above 1979, who continue to road-test new tracks from their as-yet-untitled new LP.

8/31-9/1 Edmonton, AB - Edmonton Northlands Grounds

Sun Fest Vancouver

It's not every day you see a punk rock music festival being held inside a Polish community centre, but that's exactly where this year's Sun Fest Vancouver is going to be. Kicking off at 11:30 a.m., the all day event is bringing out the best and brightest in homegrown indie rock, with performances from the likes of Nü Sensae, Humans and the Courtneys, as well as 31 other area acts.

8/31 Vancouver, BC - Polish Community Centre

Washed Out

Chillwave auteur Ernest Greene (aka Washed Out) recently wowed the Exclaim! crowd with his dreamy and organic new LP, Paracosm. Now, concertgoers in BC can get the first taste of his retro-inspired revamped sound with a pair of dates in Victoria and Vancouver.

!!!

Last but not least, veteran dance punk outfit !!! (better known aurally as "Chik Chik Chik") bring the punctuating rhythms of their recent Thr!!!er LP for a slate of co-headlining slots in BC with synthed-up indie rockers Ra Ra Riot. This marks the final Canadian dates of the band's current North American tour, so catch the disco-infused pop troupe before they go into hibernation for the rest of the fall.
