Passenger

'The Wrong Direction' (EP stream)

Surprisingly, given its geography, Vancouver's Nettwerk Records seems to be becoming a source for Aussie folk rock. The label has a new albums from Julia Stone and her partner Angus Stone out this summer, and now the company has unveiled a new EP from one of its latest signings, Passenger. Born in the UK, but best known for making his mark in Australia, the songwriter also known as Mike Rosenberg has released The Wrong Direction, which you can stream here on Exclaim.ca.

The collection includes four tracks. In addition to the introspective and self-deprecating -- yet deceptively bouncy-- title tune, it comes with two acoustic songs and one live recording from a gig in London. The EP officially came out today (June 12) on iTunes, so take a listen below.

If you like what you hear, then we've got good news for you: Passenger will also be releasing the album All the Little Lights August 28 via Nettwerk.
