Parquet Courts Sign with Rough Trade, Announce North American Tour

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Aug 4, 2015

Brooklyn garage punks Parquet Courts have strengthened their ties to Rough Trade, having announced that they've entered a worldwide deal with the indie imprint. Together, they'll soon release the Monastic Living EP.

The signing was announced in a press release today (August 4). While the band had previously worked with Rough Trade for UK pressings of albums like 2014's Sunbathing Animals LP, the North American edition had been handled by What's Your Rupture. With Monastic Living, which lands November 13, Rough Trade assumes promo and distro duties around the globe.

As for the new EP, the tracklisting details have yet to appear, but you can check out the cover art, which pictures a solitary dish-washing session, up above. While the info is forthcoming, the record can be pre-ordered here.

Additionally, Parquet Courts are getting ready to hit the road for some global dates. A European tour starts up at the end of the month, while a newly announced batch of show stops in North America gets underway by November. This part of the trip will have the unit hitting Canadian clubs in Quebec City, Montreal and Toronto. You'll find the full schedule down below.
