With fake news being an unfortunate reality in 2019, Paramore frontwoman Hayley Williams has been forced to shoot down some pretty serious online rumours — including false reports saying she's died.
Williams emerged on Twitter this morning to send out a tweet debunking a pair of fake stories circulating about her and Paramore. In addition to letting fans know that the band are not working on a new album, the singer had to deal with the rumour that she's now in fact dead.
Williams wrote, "This week on The Internet Hurts: I'm *not* dead (I don't think) and @paramore are *not* in the studio right now making out 6th album (I'm sorry)."
She also shared a screenshot of the memorial post spreading online to commemorate her supposed death.
While it's indeed great news to know Hayley Williams is still with us, it is a bummer to learn Paramore don't actually have any new album plans at the moment. That said, their last LP did arrive back in 2017 with After Laughter, so it shouldn't be too long before they actually set to work on album No. 6.
