PandaCorn "Forgotten Machines" (video)
Published Apr 24, 2015Moosejaw, SK synth-rockers PandaCorn released Synthesis of Opposites last fall, and now the EP track "Forgotten Machines" has been given the video treatment, which you can watch at Exclaim! right now.
Described as the "lovechild of dancefloor fantasy and unabashed lyricism," with a "kick-drum heartbeat and rock'n'roll soul," PandaCorn is the joint project of Megan Nash and Brodie Mohninger. As the name implies to those with similarly active imaginations, Nash and Mohninger take to the stage dressed in unicorn and panda suits, respectively. But despite the fun costumes, PandaCorn aren't joking around when it comes to serving up sweet, synthy bass and slick guitar lines.
There's plenty of those to go around on "Forgotten Machines," and the accompanying video features the band performing in a junkyard, surrounded by broken down machinery, rusty cars and scrap metal. It's an apt location given the song's title subject matter, and it's beautifully shot under a prairie sky.
PandaCorn will be performing tonight (April 24) at Amigo's Cantina in Saskatoon, and you can keep track of their upcoming shows here. For now, give their new video for "Forgotten Machines" a watch below.
