Since becoming one of the breakout bands of 2009 with their outstanding self-titled debut, the Pains of Being Pure at Heart have toured heavily, and their only new release of 2010 so far has been the summer single "Say No to Love." That's soon going to change, however, as the band are currently prepping a new single, as well as a new album.
In November, the group will release the single "Heart in Your Heartbreak," along with an exclusive new B-side. The single will reappear on the Pains' upcoming album, which is due out next spring. According to a press release, "The band has been recording, mixing, and mastering their much-anticipated sophomore full-length which is slated for a March 2011 release on Slumberland."
The new track is reportedly "a rousing step forward that manages to retain the ebullient charm, wit and pop panache of their best work." Its release will coincide with the band's upcoming world tour, which includes one Canadian date at Venue in Vancouver on November 4. See the schedule below.
