Ozzy Osbourne was recently hospitalized and forced to postpone an entire European tour. Last week, his wife/manager Sharon Osbourne said Ozzy had been hospitalized due to "complications from the flu," but it turns out his situation may have been more severe than originally thought.
Today, while on daytime TV show The Talk, Sharon Osbourne said of her ailing husband: "He's doing good. He's breathing on his own. He's overcome by the response he's had."
But while Ozzy was intensive care at one point, Sharon revealed he's now doing much better and now out of ICU.
"He's doing great. He's out of ICU and he's doing good," she said, adding, "I just want to say a huge thank you to everybody that has reached out with good wishes. He's overcome by the response that he's had and it just makes him, it's kind of bittersweet because he's so overwhelmed with it but he's sad, too."
At the time, Osbourne's publicist wrote:
Ozzy Osbourne has been forced to postpone the entire U.K. and European leg of his 'No More Tours 2′ tour on doctors' orders. This follows yesterday's announcement that Osbourne was postponing the first four dates of the tour because of the flu. After seeing his physician again, Osbourne has been diagnosed with a severe upper-respiratory infection which the doctor feels could develop into pneumonia given the physicality of the live performances and an extensive travel schedule throughout Europe in harsh winter conditions.
This bad news came after Osbourne cancelled a portion of his North American farewell tour due to "multiple infections." He later revealed that he had three staph infections in his right thumb, causing it to swell to "the size of a fuckin' lightbulb."
As previously reported, Osbourne is scheduled to return to North America in the spring and his next live appearance is still slated for March 9 in Sydney, Australia.
