Original Indonesian Score for 'The Raid' Receives Death Waltz Release

Mighty movie soundtrack lovers Death Waltz Recording Company have announced they will be the first to press up the original score to Indonesian action-thriller The Raid. A new wax platter featuring work from composers Aria Prayogi and Fajar Yuskemal lands through the label in January.

While last year Mondo  issued a vinyl version of the U.S. market soundtrack, prepped by Linkin Park's Mike Shinoda and composer Joseph Trapanese (Tron: Legacy), this will be the first time Prayogi and Yuskemal's original material for the 2011 flick will have been delivered in any format.

Death Waltz has yet to announce if there will be coloured vinyl variants of the upcoming soundtrack release, or when it officially lands in January, but you can check out a handful of pieces from the score now in the SoundCloud player below. As you'll hear, it offers everything from the dark, ambient synth minimalism of "Hard Duty Pt. 1," to the tranquil and aqueous sinewaves of "Family Reunion," to the ticking time bomb industrial damage of "Deadly Game."

Death Waltz said in a statement : "We are super proud to finally be bringing this little heard score to a wider audience as it is frankly 'fucking brilliant'!"
