Newmarket, ON-based punks Ship of Fools will release their new EP Status Quo on April 16, and today, the quartet have offered up a morsel of the record with the release of its title track, courtesy of Montreal-based label Hell for Breakfast.

Described as "an invitation to challenge ideals, morals and ethics," the release also serves as an "insight into the direction and beliefs" of who the band are today. Treading into themes of mental health, social justice and human rights, Ship of Fools' four-track EP is beer-soaked punk rock with a political twist.

"We wrote Status Quo to challenge the listener, in particular men in our society, to question their own morals and ethics, whilst also advocating for positive mental health," the band said. "It is with hope that Status Quo will help influence listeners to be the best version of themselves."

Status Quo will follow the band's 2018 debut LP A Perfect Place for Harmony.
