Ode to the Quiet

"Ghosts" (video)

From the Netherlands to NXNE, Ode to the Quiet are taking their unique sound international, with an appearance at the Toronto festival this week. Before they take the stage, though, Exclaim! has got the video premiere for the band's latest single, "Ghosts."

Hailing all the way from Utrecht, the Dutch four-piece classifies the music they make as "stargaze." Blending everything from classical piano and electronic soundscapes to trip-hop and post-punk, the band have created their own unusual and intriguing sound.

The winning combination of genres and styles can be heard on "Ghosts," and now the song has received some accompanying visuals. Directed by Lukas Brouwer, the clip sees an older man tending to his greenhouse. There's also an appearance by band member Tobias Kerkhoven, who plays a younger man frantically searching through the dirt.
