Obama & the Roots

Live on 'Fallon'

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Apr 25, 2012

Last night (April 24), President Barack Obama stopped by Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, making for one of the most high-profile television appearances in recent memory.

Fallon's trusty house band the Roots were on hand when the suggestion to "slow jam the news" was made, but the crowd went understandably wild when Obama stepped on stage to help them out.

Obama delivers his stance on the rising interest rates on student loans, while the Roots provide music and Fallon refers to Obama as the "Preezy of the United Steezy" and the "Barackness Monster" in his best sexy R&B voiceover. It's hilarious and almost makes you forget that you're watching the President of the United States -- until the Roots remind us he's the "POTUS with the mostest."

Watch Obama join the Roots and Jimmy Fallon to slow jam the news on Late Night below.
