North Lakes "Queen of Cyprus"

North Lakes 'Queen of Cyprus'
Following last spring's Grand Prix album, Atlantic Canadian rock outfit North Lakes are returning this summer with two new singles. The first is "Queen of Cyprus," and it's available to stream now.

It was recorded with Colin Buchanan and Adam Gallant, and features more of the band's signature garage-y guitar grit and muscular rhythms. A press release notes, "The song features islander Nathan Gill discussing islands he's never been to, as well as organist Roger Carter's oscillating Motion Sound."

In addition to sharing a studio version of the track, the band have filmed a live performance video of the song. Watch it below.

North Lakes will play select shows this summer, including a stop at Big Red Festival on June 30, in Charlottetown, PEI, as well as a festival stop on August 8 at the city's Old Home Week.
