NOFX to Reissue "Fucking Terrible" Lost EP from 1984, Kick Off Canadian Tour

California pop punk legends NOFX have had a two-year break since releasing their 11th LP Coaster back in 2009. In that time, they have managed to keep the ball rolling with The Longest EP and the Cokie the Clown release, but they still haven't run out of extras, as Fat Mike has revealed plans for two more EPs.

The first and most exciting release they have planned is the Thalidomide Child EP, which contains the group's first-ever recordings from 1984. While the title track has been heard before, the EP will include all eight songs from the sessions. When asked to describe the record, Fat Mike tells Exclaim!, "It's bad musically. Fucking terrible."

He goes on to explain, "I found it at Fat Wreck Chords. I found the original quarter-inch tape. We transfered it to DAT and [the Fat Wreck staff] were like 'holy shit, this is terrible.' I go, 'I know, that's why we never released it because it's terrible.' And everyone at Fat Wreck Chords goes 'Come on, we've gotta release it.' So it's going to be an eight-song seven-inch and only one of the songs has ever been heard before. You'll hear. It's pretty fucking terrible."

While the exact release date for the Thalidomide Child EP has not been set, there is a chance that it will be released in a seven-inch box set, making it a must have for NOFX fans.

In addition to the EP, NOFX are also still planning to release their previously announced hardcore covers seven-inch. The long-anticipated record will include ten cover songs that fit on a seven-inch. That record also doesn't have a firm due date, but Fat Mike promises it will be out this summer.

"We've been trying to put this out forever but it's actually coming soon now. We have the test pressings actually at Fat Wreck Chords," he promises.

As reported, NOFX will kick off on a Canada-wide tour today in St. John's. All the dates on the trek are available below.
