NOFX Announce North American Winter Dates, Play Montreal New Year's Show

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Sep 19, 2012

Earlier this month, NOFX came into Canada to play Toronto's Riot Fest in support of their recently released Self Entitled LP, and now the California punkers have announced they'll be back on our side of the U.S./Canada border for a quick run of dates this December.

According to a blog post from the band, the lone Canadian date takes place December 31 in Montreal and is their annual New Year's Heave show. The rest of the trip focuses on the West Coast of the U.S. and features opening spots from Teenage Bottlerocket and Elway. You can check all the details down below.

The Montreal date is seemingly booked much to the chagrin of the Canadian Immigration Report, an organization that called for NOFX's Toronto show to be cancelled because they felt the band was "calling for white genocide" in their jokey, 20-year-old reggae-punk jam "Kill All the White Man." It's unclear if the CIR will keep up their campaign to ban the band from entering Canada, but considering the fatality count at Riot Fest was a big fat zero, maybe the organization will put its beef on ice.
