Noel Gallagher's Scissor Player Leaves 2019 World Tour

Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds are in the midst of European festival season, but the band will be short one player for their remaining live dates for the foreseeable future. Unfortunately, famed professional scissor player Charlotte Marionneau will be taking a break from the band.

Gallagher made the announcement "with great sadness," revealing she will not continue on the band's 2019 world tour "for personal reasons."

He added, "We look forward to welcoming her back as soon as possible," but also informed fans that refunds would be available if they were really counting on hearing her snip away onstage.

Back in 2017, Gallagher's younger brother and former Oasis bandmate, Liam, roasted his brother for the unusual instrumental choice.

Noel fired back, explaining that the whole thing was just an elaborate scheme to troll Liam, and he described the addition of Marionneau to the band like this: "It's almost like she's snipping away at the last ribbons of Liam's sanity."

Following Noel Gallagher's High Flying Bird's European shows, the band will join Smashing Pumpkins for a North American tour in August.

Liam has already dubbed the jaunt "Pumpkins n potatoes."

As previously reported, the new EP by Noel Gallagher's High Flying Bird's, Black Star Dancing, is due out on June 14.
