Noel Gallagher to Release New Solo Album This Fall

Noel Gallagher is a little over two years removed from Chasing Yesterday with his High Flying Birds, and a follow-up solo LP from the Britpop figure could be closer than we think.

As Clash reports, Gallagher revealed on the UK's Radio X today (May 29) that the record will arrive "on November the 9th, I've been told," adding that "It's done, it's mastered, it's all done."

"I'm not sure I'll make another record any other way now from now on because it's so exciting because even at the mastering stage last Friday it was changing," he said.

"It was like, you know, things were being... things that I thought weren't going to go on the album are now on the album," Gallagher continued. "And right at the last day of mixing I was thinking 'what has this song even become?', do you know what I mean? And the record's all the better for it."

Most recently, Noel buried the hatchet with former Britpop rival Damon Albarn by recording a track for the latest Gorillaz album, which Liam didn't take kindly to.
