Noel Gallagher is about to spend the rest of summer on the road with the Smashing Pumpkins and AFI, but before that kicks off, the former Oasis musician appeared as a guest on Late Night with Seth Meyers last night (August 6) — and shared some not very traditional parenting techniques.
After revealing that his kids have to fake some interest in his own music in order to get their share of his fortune, Gallagher was asked what would happen if his children rebelled against his known love for current Premier League champs Manchester City by supporting rival football club Manchester United.
"That would be tough," he said after a dramatic sigh. "I'd probably drive him as far away from my house as possible and leave him on the motorway."
"These things get sorted out quite quickly in Manchester," Gallagher continued, explaining that children are told as babies what team they are going to support "and that's the end of it."
He also chatted to Meyers about life on tour, what he plans to buy when he sells the Oasis masters to the highest bidder, and of course, the possibility of an Oasis reunion.
When Meyers asked if there would be one, Gallagher replied, "I sincerely hope not."
