After delivering one of last year's chilliest LPs, tropical-minded popsmiths No Gold are back with a new EP, titled New Recipe. The four-song effort swerves from the beach-y feel of previous work, however, and heads towards experimental electronic beats.
New Recipe was recorded live off the floor without the use of MIDI. "Best New Recipe" is a telling title for the EP standout, which gels on glitch house minimalism and a mix of synth sounds alternately ethereal and rumbly.
