Nite Jewel and Droop-E Team Up as AMTHST for New EP
Having been relatively quiet since releasing a few loose tracks last year, Nite Jewel has revealed her next release will be a collaborative one. The synth-pop songstress has teamed up with Bay Area rapper/producer Droop-E to make music as AMTHST, with the promise of new material on the horizon.

The newly formed duo are set to release their debut EP Euphoria next month via E-40's Sick Wid It Records. A press release reveals that production will be handled by the duo and Toronto producer BatmanOnTheBeatz, reading that it "skews spacey and psychedelic, with more grit than most of its competition but more layers than it would seem on first pass."

Such characteristics are noticeable by listening to the EP's first single, "Thug Passion," which employs slow-burning circuitry to back up Nite Jewel's smooth vocals. The press release also notes that it isn't the first instance of collaboration between the two core members, having previously worked together on Droop-E's 2013 EP Hungry and Humble.

Euphoria is set to arrive on February 17. Take a listen to "Thug Passion" in the player below.
