Nick Cave's career has been winding and complex, and a new exhibition titled Stranger Than Kindness: The Nick Cave Exhibition has been offering visitors an unprecedented peek into the songwriter and artist's rich and shadowy inner world.

And now, Canadian fans can finally experience the exhibition for themselves, as Stranger Than Kindness has come from Copenhagen to Montréal, where it's being presented by La Maison de la Galerie du Festival until August 7.

The immersive exhibition features more than 300 objects curated by Cave over six decades, gathered and assembled into large-scale exhibitions that provide a deep, intimate look into Cave's creative universe.

Presented by Festival International de Jazz de Montréal, evenko and Workers of Art, and originally created for The Black Diamond in Copenhagen, Denmark, the unorthodox approach to exhibition was co-designed by Cave himself. It traces his journey from his childhood in 1960s Wangaratta, Australia, through his life in bands like the Boys Next door and the Birthday Party to his ever-evolving work with the Bad Seeds
