With his second novel, The Death of Bunny Munro, set to drop 20 years after his debut work, Nick Cave is firing up the promotion mobile to do some Q&A's and book signings.

Fortunately for Ontario fans, Cave will be appearing at the Indigo Books (220 Yonge St.) on September 16, when he'll be interviewed by Ongoing History of New Music host Alan Cross at 7 p.m., with a signing and Q&A to follow. The following day on September 17, Cave will then swing through Ottawa where he'll take part in "Global Encounters: One on One with Nick Cave" at Saint Brigid's Centre for the Arts and Humanities (314 Saint Patrick St.).

As for what we can expect from The Death of Bunny Munro, a new press sheet gives some insight into the book: "Set adrift by his wife's suicide and struggling to keep some sort of grasp on reality, Bunny Munro drives off in his yellow Fiat Punto with his son, Bunny Jr., in tow. When their bizarre road trip shades into a final reckoning, and when England's small towns seem to become stopping points in a strange, mythical landscape, Bunny realizes that the revenants of his world - decrepit fathers, vengeful ghosts, jealous husbands and horned psycho-killers - lurk in the shadows, waiting to exact their toll."

Cave has recently launched a site for the book which features video and audio of him reading excerpts from the novel and can be checked out here. The Death of Bunny Munro will be release on September 19 through HarperCollins Canada
