Before Absolutely Free there was DD/MM/YYYY — and before them, formative members Matt King and Moshe Rozenberg were known as Toronto's Newfound Interest in Connecticut. Now that long-gone early band are being treated to a reissue, as their 2005 album Tell Me About the Long Dark Path Home is getting its first-ever vinyl release.
On March 12, Newfound Interest in Connecticut's Tell Me About the Long Dark Path Home will get its debut vinyl pressing via We Are Busy Bodies — the same label that initially released the album on CD back in 2005.
After gaining newfound popularity in emo revival communities in recent years, the band have enlisted Ottawa-based mixing engineer Philip Bova Shaw to remaster their record 15 years later. With members scattered across the world, they've managed to reunite to breathe life into an old project.
Today, Newfound Interest in Connecticut have shared a remastered version of the album cut "The Arctic Circle" ahead of their reissue.
Pre-orders of Tell Me About the Long Dark Path Home will be available through WABB's Bandcamp and official website on January 1. Until then, you can listen to "The Arctic Circle" below, where you can also stream the original version of the full album.
