Queens of the Stone Age and Australian electro-folk singer-songwriter Gordi are pretty far apart on the sonic spectrum, but both artists could be gaining some new fans (or instigating an angry mob) due to a vinyl pressing mix-up.
An astute Redditor pointed out yesterday (August 17) that part of Queens' latest album Villains has actually ended up on Gordi's upcoming LP Reservoir.
As per user w1x1w's observations, the Queens of the Stone Age tracks that turned up on their copy of Reservoir are "Fortress," "Haunted House" and "Un-Reborn" — the second part of the three-sided Villains LP.
"It was a club edition and I received an email yesterday [August 16] alerting me that my copy may be faulty, so I'm guessing they've ceased selling those specific copies sadly," the Redditor added later.
They also noted that they had a copy of Reservoir at home and would see what happens when it gets played, though no updates have been shared yet on what the Gordi LP contains.
Both Reservoir and Villains are set for official release on August 25 — though at this rate, who knows which one you'll actually get to hear.
