Neko Case & Kelly Hogan

"These Aren't the Droids"

BY Alex HudsonPublished Jun 3, 2014

What will the world be like in 2091? Neko Case answers that question with her comedically dystopian new song "These Aren't the Droids" with Kelly Hogan.

The song is a slightly chaotic, bouncy piano rock ditty about how the future will be run by teenage boys. The surreal lyric sheet includes lots of references to Comic-Con, body hair and futuristic sex robots, ending with Case and Hogan suggesting that they grow their own men in a lab.
