Neil Young's 'A Letter Home' Gets Box Set Edition

Neil Young's Jack White-assisted covers album A Letter Home unexpectedly arrived late last week, and while the standard vinyl version is available to purchase now from Third Man Records, the label has announced that a deluxe box set will follow on May 27.

The set includes a standard vinyl LP, CD, DVD, seven clear singles, a download card, and a 32-page art book. There's also a second record described in announcement as "'direct feed from the booth' audiophile 12-inch LP vinyl."

A product description notes that the DVD "actually captured the original electro-mechanical process, along with comments from the re-producers and recording engineers." (White and Young are the "re-producers" in question.)

Below, see a video for Young's cover of Bert Jansch's "Needle of Death."

That's what the set looks like above. It's available to pre-order right here for $109.98 U.S. Also on May 27, the album is being released on iTunes.
