Neil Young Plans Two Toronto Stops on Spring North American Tour

BY Josiah HughesPublished Apr 13, 2011

Following a string of shows last summer, legendary rocker Neil Young has revealed a whole batch of spring tour dates, once again with Bert Jansch as support. This time, he will be hitting stops all over North America, but we're especially excited to announce Young's return to Toronto.

On May 10 and May 11, the Canadian icon will play two consecutive shows at Toronto's Massey Hall. A press release explains that the show will see Young perform songs from Le Noise, as well as classic tracks "in both electric and acoustic settings." In other words, there will be something here for everyone.

Tickets for the event will be available on Friday (April 15) via Ticketmaster and will run between $89.50 and $189.50 before service charges. We haven't been this excited since Neil Young Day!

In less exciting but related news, Young recently approved a sample from "Old Man" for Los Angeles-based rap-rock guy Redlight King. Crawdaddy explains that the Everlast-esque performer showed Young his track and gained approval for the sample, a feat seldom accomplished with Young's deep catalogue. The blasphemous abomination can be heard here.
