Neil Young Expands "Twisted Road" Tour, Adds Edmonton, Calgary and Winnipeg Shows
Published Jun 07, 2010This spring has seen rock'n'roll legend Neil Young return to the stage on a series of live dates dubbed the "Twisted Road" tour. The run of shows has seen Young perform stripped-down sets with support from beloved songwriter Bert Jansch. Sadly, Canada has been largely ignored on these dates, or at least until now.
Young has expanded his tour into July, adding Canadian shows in Edmonton, Calgary and Winnipeg before dipping back into the United States and playing Minneapolis and Milwaukee. While he hasn't announced any more dates, we're a little skeptical that Young's long-running tour will conclude in Milwaukee, so don't be surprised if Toronto and Montreal shows are announced in August.
One reason that these Young concerts are so exciting is that he's debuting acoustic versions of new tracks from his upcoming album. Stream the song "Love and War" below, and check out four others compiled at TwentyFourBit.
