A little over a month after giving the heads-up on their new album, the National have announced the release date and title of their highly anticipated Boxer follow-up. Via a newly launched site, the Brooklyn band revealed the record will be out May 11 on 4AD and come bearing the title High Violet (the new site's URL is www.highviolet.com).
So far, little else is known about the new National effort, meaning we have no artwork or tracklisting, but as previously reported, the group have several North American live dates lined up.
