National Campus & Community Radio Conference Announces Free Programming

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Jun 2, 2015

Airwave enthusiasts will be gathering in Saint John, NB, this week (June 3 to 9) for the annual National Campus & Community Radio Conference.

This year's conference will be hosted by Local 107.3 FM and promises an exciting series of workshops, presentations and film screenings that will cover topics ranging from technical production to social issues to workplace advice.

And when the learning is done, attendees can kick back and enjoy some live music at one of the many music showcases taking place this week. Events include a Sharktooth Records showcase on June 4, a Music/Musique NB showcase on June 6 and a Maritimes showcase on the final evening of June 8.

There will also be live comedy, a David R. Elliott album release party and a display of works from First Nations, Métis and Inuit artists. A list of all the week's events and all the pertinent details can be found here.

In the spirit of support for campus and community radio (and full disclosure), Exclaim! is a proud sponsor of NCRC 2015, and our very own Senior Editor, Stephen Carlick, will be delivering a keynote address on Saturday evening (June 6).
