Nas' classic 1994 album Illmatic is being toasted with a reissue and a documentary, and now a trailer for that film, titled Time Is Illmatic, has emerged.
The two-minute trailer features voiceovers emphasizing the importance of the album, and Nas gives a quote explaining what he was trying to achieve with Illmatic. The accompanying visuals mostly consist of archival footage from around the time it was made.
It will premiere at New York's Tribeca Film Festival on April 16. The trailer notes that it's "coming soon to theatres," which we assume means a wider theatrical release is planned.
