Dave Grohl's drumming nemesis Nandi Bushell is stepping back into the rock battle arena for another high-profile cover. She's now taking on Arctic Monkeys — and for this round, she has enlisted the band's actual drummer, Matt Helders.
The 11-year-old challenger has signed on to produce a four-part YouTube series with Helders, which begins today with a cover of "I Bet You Look Good on the Dance Floor." This turn, Bushell has stepped away from her usual role behind the kit to offer her guitar chops on the track. Helders has subbed in on drums for their session, which you can watch below.
Further recordings of the duo's collaboration are forthcoming. Episodes 2 and 3 of the series will find the pair covering "Brianstorm" and "R U Mine," while the fourth part will see Bushell interviewing Helders after a jam session.
Bushell's rock battling saga began last year with a cover of Foo Fighters' "Everlong," which earned her the attention of Grohl. Since then, she has gone on to cover Muse, Slipknot and more. Most recently, the tiny drummer offered her take on Linkin Park's "Numb," which earned her a shout-out from the band.
