Earlier this year, experimental German electronic artists Mouse on Mars offered up Parastrophics, their first LP in six years. The increasingly house-indebted outfit aren't resting on their laurels to issue a follow-up in the form of a new EP titled Wow.
The EP arrives November 2 through Monkeytown. According to the press release [via Pitchfork], the 33-minute mini-effort will feature guest vocals from Vietnamese performer and sculptor Dao Anh Khanh, who will apparently sing in a "fantasy language." Other collaborators on Wow include dance DJ Eric D. Clarke and the Argentinean punk band Las Kellies.
While we wait on that release, Mouse on Mars have shared a new music video for the Parastrophics track "They Knew Your Name," which has been released as 7-inch with an A-side boasting a remix by Dodo Nkishi and the flip featuring a redo by Machinedrum. The video, which was edited by Pfadfinderei, features some tripped-out visuals of biological cell studies, and you can check it out below.
On top of that, Mouse on Mars have also announced a stretch of globe-trotting tour dates that will bring them around Europe and North America this fall. With Canada in mind, the unit will make their way to the Great White North twice, playing at Toronto's Lee's Palace October 19, and Montreal's Il Motore the following night. You can see the details down below.
