Just in time to celebrate the seminal hard rock band's 50th anniversary, Motörhead have announced the release of a "lost" 1976 album recorded during their "Three Amigos" era, featuring the dynamic lineup of Lemmy Kilmister, Eddie Clarke and Phil Taylor.

The Manticore Tapes gets its name from Emerson, Lake & Palmer's iconic Manticore Studio, where the band's first-ever studio session resulted in the creation of the 11-track album, now seeing the light after being buried for 49 years.

On the restoration of the recordings, a press release notes, "The result is a truly historical moment in the evolution of hard rock's finest heavy icons, restoring and bringing to the public eye for the first time ever a vital part of Motörhead's evolution and history."

The Manticore Tapes is set to release on June 27. Pre-order and pre-save the album here.
