Morrissey Cancels Jimmy Kimmel Appearance over 'Duck Dynasty' Actors

Morrissey's health issues aren't the only reason the performer has been cancelling dates. There's also his serious dedication to animal activism, as proven by the fact that he won't be appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live tomorrow night (February 26).

The reason for the cancellation? The Robertsons, best known as the stars of A+E's duck-hunting reality show Duck Dynasty, are also slated to appear on that episode. According to Moz, playing alongside them would essentially mean endorsing their actions.

Morrissey's handlers announced his withdrawal from the show with the following statement:

Morrissey is thankful for being invited to perform on Jimmy Kimmel Live tomorrow, February 26. However, he cannot morally be on a television program where the cast members of Duck Dynasty will also be guests. Morrissey would be honored to play the show, if Duck Dynasty were removed.

Morrissey stated, "As far as my reputation is concerned, I can't take the risk of being on a show alongside people who, in effect, amount to animal serial killers. If Jimmy cannot dump
Duck Dynasty then we must step away."

The choice wasn't difficult for the producers of Jimmy Kimmel Live, as Morrissey has already been removed from the show's schedule.
