Morgan Wallen's Sales Have Tripled Since He Was Filmed Saying the N-Word

Earlier this week, country star Morgan Wallen had all of his music removed from radio and saw his recording contract suspended after he was filmed saying the N-word. The consequences for his actions did not, however, hurt his record sales. Instead, they're unfortunately thriving.

According to Billboard, Wallen's catalogue of albums and songs sold a combined 22,500 copies on February 3, which is a 339 percent increase from the 5,000 sold on February 2.

Wallen's albums sold a little over 8,000 copies on February 3, while his songs sold 14,000 downloads. His January album Dangerous: The Double Album had its third consecutive week at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, as well as the Top Country Albums chart.

When TMZ posted a video of the singer saying the n-word, Wallen said he was "embarrassed and sorry," adding, "I used an unacceptable and inappropriate racial slur that I wish I could take back. There are no excuses to use this type of language, ever. I want to sincerely apologize for using the word. I promise to do better."

Last year, Wallen had his SNL appearance cancelled after he spent the week leading up to the show partying without a mask. He was given a second chance, appearing on a December episode that we rated 4/10.
