Morgan Delt Signs to Sub Pop

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Jan 15, 2015

The vast and varied Sub Pop empire has been adding to the ranks like crazy this week. Following Tuesday's (January 13) announcement that Doldrums had signed with the iconic imprint to deliver an LP in 2015, it's now been revealed that L.A. psych-pop player Morgan Delt has joined the team as well.

A press release confirms that Delt is currently working on his debut release for Sub Pop, though specifics on the song cycle or the as-yet-untitled album's ETA haven't been shared just yet. The album follows 2014's acclaim-garnering self-titled set (which made fans and tourmates out of the Flaming Lips), the "Barbarian Kings" 7-inch and his 2013 cassette Psychic Death Hole.

While info on Delt's next album is scarce, West Coast fans may get an earful of new tunes in a couple of weeks when the artist heads out on a quick tour. The trip includes a Canadian date at Vancouver's Electric Owl on February 6. You'll find the rest of the schedule info down below.

Tour dates:

01 31 Santa Ana, CA - The Observatory (Indigo Fest)

02/04 San Francisco, CA -  The Chapel

02/06 Vancouver, BC - The Electric Owl

02/07 Seattle, WA - Barboza

02/08 Portland, OR - Crystal Ballroom (Sabertooth Micro Fest)
