The One Man Band Festival is appropriately named. Just as the title of the events suggests, it aims to celebrate solo performers when it runs from May 18 to 20 in a handful of venues in Montreal.

The lineup features Wax Mannequin, Cop Bar Bonfire, Jon Cohen Experimental (who serves as the festival's artistic director), Bloodshot Bill, Mike O'Brien, Lederhosen Lucil, Jesse Dangerously, Scott Dunbar, Armen at the Bazaar, Superfossilpower, Kris Demeanor and more.

A press release notes that the festival "showcases the talents and creativity of one-man/woman band musicians and performers the likes of loop artists, singer songwriters, DJs, and other forms of solo performance. For reasons of feasibility, creative expression, financial limitations and technological advancements in music production, artists today are finding new ways to express their output by recording, touring and performing alone."

The festival program includes concerts, workshops and parties, which will take place at Casa Del Popolo, Divan Orange, the Treatment Room and L'enver. Tickets cost $12 a night or $32 for the weekend.
