After sharing introductory single "Meridian" back in 2020, Montreal trio Dawn to Dawn (Tess Roby, Adam Ohr and Patrick Lee) are back with the details for their debut album, led by new single "Stereo."

Postcards from the Sun to the Moon arrives October 6 via Roby's label imprint SSURROUNDSS, through which she released her spellbinding sophomore solo album Ideas of Space — one of Exclaim!'s 29 Best Albums of 2022 So Far — earlier this year.

After forming incidentally in 2018, Dawn to Dawn fell into a near-immediate musical kinship, becoming close friends and feeling creatively reinvigorated by the music that came spilling out of their off-the-cuff sessions at Lee's Mile End studio. The band's first LP blends phantasmal dream pop and dance-driven impressionism, with a mixing assist by fellow Montreal musicians Patrick Holland and Pierre Guerineau.

Of the breezy lead single, the trio said in a statement: "This song captures the sound of summer: sweltering nights, afterparties and playful romance. It was written deep in the 2020 winter lockdown, as we imagined the parties of summers past. A breaky, forward-moving 909 beat carries airy synths that glide beneath Tess's vocals. Weightless and captivating, 'Stereo' is an anthem for years to come."
