In a bizarre turn of events, Mitski has returned to social media to shut down allegations made against her on Tumblr.
The Be the Cowboy singer took to Twitter this morning to deny accusations by a Tumblr user that she was involved in a sex trafficking ring and sexually abused the poster multiple times starting from the age of 11.
User amberdollars has made multiple posts in the last few months, accusing Mitski of grooming and abusing her from the time she was 11 until her last alleged contact with the singer in 2015.
The accuser also revealed that they suffer from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Dissociative Identity Disorder.
Mitski has spoken out to declare the allegations "completely false in every respect."
She stated that she does not know the accuser and does not know why they associate her with their trauma.
Mitski went on to say that she didn't speak out sooner because she feared harming someone who may be struggling with mental health issues by giving them additional attention or giving them reality to their claims.
She firmly denied her family's involvement in the accuser's allegations, as well.
Mitski closed by saying that "We should continue to practice believing in victims and I hope that survivors out there are not discouraged to come forward with their experiences because of this instance."
