Not only do the early days of November signal the arrival of holiday music on radio stations and in shopping malls across the country, but they also mark the announcement of long-running Vancouver indie imprint Mint Records' Ridiculously Early Xmas Party.

In celebrating 25 years of music-making, the party is set for November 26 at the Astoria in Vancouver. The party's lineup of festive guests includes Vancity mainstays Jay Arner, Supermoon and Fake Tears, along with Woolworm and Aaron Read. In rounding out the event, Chris-a-riffic will be playing a selection of favourite "Chris-mas" carols, hymns and jingles between bands.

The first 50 attendees through the door will receive goodie bags with presents from Neptoon Records, Red Cat Records, Pocky and Lush. Mint will also include a copy of their limited cassette compilation Quarter Life Crisis, featuring 25 tracks from label artists and friends, as well as some deep cuts from the vault.

In charitable fashion, proceeds from the party will support Girls Rock Camp Vancouver. Advance tickets are $10 each and will soon be available at Red Cat Records, Neptoon Records and ZuluRecords Store.

Keep up to date on any forthcoming party information on Facebook.
