Mint Records and CiTR Team Up for New 'Pop Alliance' Comp Featuring Needles//Pins, Peace, Weed

It's been a couple of years since Mint Records joined forces with the University of British Columbia's CiTR 101.9 FM radio station to deliver the second volume in their Pop Alliance Compilation series back in 2010, but they've now announced a follow-up. The Vancouver-centric Vol. 3 drops digitally and on LP March 5.

Like the last edition, CiTR DJ Duncan McHugh, of Duncan's Donuts, has gathered up a bunch of local acts for the platter. The 14-song set consists of previously released and exclusive material from the likes of Needles//Pins, Peace, Weed, Jay Arner, How to Dress Well collaborator Aaron Read, and more. You can see the tracklist down below.

The vinyl pressing is being released in a limited edition of 300 and features art from former CiTR DJ Melanie Coles, which you can see above. You can pre-order the set from Mint soon, nab a copy by donating to CiTR during their upcoming FunDrive (February 28 to March 8), or wait until the official street date.

A record release show is scheduled to take place March 8 at Vancouver venue Chapel Arts. While it's been revealed that the concert will feature acts on two separate stages, the lineup has yet to be confirmed.
