This year has been an interesting, though not particularly good, year for Maya Arulpragasam. The artist better known as M.I.A. released her third album ///Y/ to middling reviews, lashed out at journalists and was dissed by Diplo. Hopefully things will look up for her in 2011, but regardless, she's decided to close out the year with a new mixtape.
M.I.A. announced the mix via Twitter, also hinting that she can't wait for the year to end, writing, "vicky leekx mixtape coming new years eve! layin bad minds to rest 2010!"
It's hard to know what will be included on the mix, but it will most likely feature some of her URL jams and hopefully her rumoured studio collaboration with the Specials.
