MF DOOM and DJ Muggs Enlist Freddie Gibbs for "Death Wish"

It's the first track from their 'Assassination Day' album

After teasing a collaborative project with MF DOOM late last year, DJ Muggs has given us our first taste of the new material — complete with an assist from Freddie Gibbs.

Titled "Deathwish," the song is the first track from the collaborative LP Assassination Day, which is set for release August 3 through Soul Assassins Records. You can hear the track in the player below.

Assassination Day is set to be released as individual two-song "chapters" ahead of its complete arrival in August. A second single for the first chapter, featuring Kool G Rap, is set to arrive next Friday (June 29).

Assassination Day is said to be a conceptual album "where hip-hop takes corruption head-on, figuratively killing off powerful evildoers in positions of power as the story unfolds." The story will unfold through music videos and future chapters.

As we await further details, take in "Deathwish" in the player below. The track arrives the same day Gibbs shared his latest solo LP, Freddie.

Right now, you can order Assassination Day in a variety of forms over here.

DOOM has of course already delivered a collaborative LP earlier this year, teaming up with Czarface.
