Following yesterday's release of Fantasies, Metric have announced a series of small and intimate West coast acoustic dates. Along with some Ontario shows later this month, Metric will roll into Winnipeg, Edmonton, Calgary, Vancouver and Victoria during the coming weeks. But if you want to score tickets, you have to do a bit more than break out the ol' credit card.
In fact, there are three ways you can gain entry to these shows, but none involve trading cash for tickets. First, you could partake in one of the band's "listen-to-win contests," which involves radio station partners in each city giving away tickets to the shows (see below for radio stations). Or if you're not the radio-listening type, you can go to Metric's website to enter a draw to win tickets, or order Fantasies directly from the band and have a shot of being randomly selected to get some.
As previously reported, Metric also have several more live appearances coming up, including a pile of U.S. and European dates, as well as a free in-store performance in Toronto on Thursday (April 9) and another in Montreal on April 16.
