Metric "Youth Without Youth"

Metric 'Youth Without Youth'
Metric have unveiled the first single from their upcoming album Synthetica, which is due out June 12 via the band's own Metric Music International.

Titled "Youth Without Youth," you can listen to the new track below, along with some commentary from band members Emily Haines and Jimmy Shaw. According to Haines, the song originated as a sad story about "the decaying social state through the eyes of a depraved child."

In terms of the sound, Haines and Shaw describe it as coated in "'70s sleaze" and reiterate Shaw's previous statement that it uses a Gary Glitter-esque beat.
