Metallica's Grammy duet with Lady Gaga was about as much of a trainwreck as anyone could have imagined last night (February 12), but the hard-rock vets are reclaiming the stage for themselves and heading out on a North American tour this spring and summer.
Under the banner of the "WorldWired 2017 North American Tour," the new dates come in support of the band's most recent LP Hardwired…To Self-Destruct — and they'll see James Hetfield and the gang returning to Canada for their first shows since last fall's super intimate show at Toronto's Opera House.
The group will be filling much larger venues this time around, including a headlining slot at Quebec City's Festive d'éte de Quebec and shows at Toronto's Rogers Centre and Montreal's Parc Jean-Drapeau in July. They'll return north of the border in August for shows at BC Place in Vancouver and Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton.

Presale tickets will be available for Legacy Fan Club members beginning tomorrow (February 14) at 9 a.m. local time, while Met Club members will have a go at grabbing presale tickets tomorrow at 11 a.m. local time. Remaining tickets will go on sale to the general public on Friday (February 17) at 10 a.m. local time. As a special bonus, each ticket purchase will come with either a CD or digital download of Hardwired...To Self Destruct.
