First, Metallica announced that they would be coming to Vancouver on their brief Canadian summer tour. Then they added a second Vancouver show. Now, they've added a third night -- and it will only cost you $5 to attend.

However, this newly announced concert comes with a catch: it is being held specifically so that Metallica can complete filming on their planned 3D film.

In a post on their official website, the band revealed that tickets for the show will be just $5 with all profits going to the Greater Vancouver Food Bank. Why so cheap? Well, according to the band, "There will be lots of breaks in it to allow for cameras and lights to be repositioned as the director sees fit."

In order to get tickets, first go here to get the pre-sale password. Then head to Ticketmaster tomorrow (August 24) at 9 a.m. PST to reserve your tickets.

Fan club members can go to Metallica.com to participate in an early pre-sale later today (August 23). The remaining tickets will go on sale to the general public on Sunday (August 26).

Get more information about the gig here, and note that the band will take the stage at 6:30 p.m. in order to have enough time to fit in all of the filming. In other words, this might require a little more patience than your average Metallica gig.

The film is expected out next summer. it is being helmed by Hungarian director Nimrod Antal (Predators, Vacancy).
