Meraudio

Angels & Gasoline

BY Michael EdwardsPublished Mar 1, 2003

Persistence has turned out to be the key to Meraudio's career path. They've opened for more than a few bands, sold their indie CDs at the concession stand and contributed songs to compilations. Their self-proclaimed creative driving force, songwriter Matt Ruttan, was a finalist at this year's ISC International Songwriting Contest, and has spent some time in Nashville honing his skills in time for the release of his debut full-length. Angels & Gasoline is a strong debut that could very well help bring Meraudio closer to mainstream success. There isn't much about the music that makes it stand out from the crowd, but that could easily turn out to be a strength because there are a handful of songs here which could fit effortlessly onto most radio stations' play lists. Some tracks are a bit on the bland side, but definitely a good start.
