Melody Wey

Cool Struttin'

BY Michael EdwardsPublished Oct 1, 2000

Cool Struttin' is full of contradictions. For the most part, there's a lot of gentle guitar strumming but there is also a somewhat misguided distorted electric guitar that sounds really out of place. Fortunately, there does seem to be an element of control in its level of invasiveness and it does make for an interesting, unique sound. As debut mini albums go, Cool Struttin' has enough good points to suggest that Melody Wey might be worth keeping an eye on in the future.
