Mastodon Member Hospitalized, Announce Vinyl Box Set

Right after announcing their sure-to-be epic new album, Crack The Skye, Mastodon have emerged with some good news and some bad.

First, the bad. According to a message on the band’s website, "Bill Kelliher, guitarist with Mastodon, has been hospitalized in London as of November 3, during the band's current European Unholy Alliance Chapter 3 package tour. Doctors will continue to monitor his condition, which is improving at press time.” The band will now reportedly finish up their tour as a three-piece.

Fortunately, there’s some good news as well. On November 18, Relapse will be issuing an impressive vinyl box set that includes their entire output, from their first EP through to 2006’s Blood Mountain. The box will also include an embroidered patch of the band’s logo, a sticker set, and a Mastodon turntable mat, ideal for your chopped and screwed Mastodon remix. You better start getting your credit card ready to order now — the set is limited to 1,000 copies.
